
Mark Mason to Participate in MUSC Inaugural Medical Cannabis Conference
It is inevitable that medical cannabis will be a reality in South Carolina.
MUSC is presenting an Inaugural Medical Cannabis Conference on September 28, 2018.

Subjects include significant research on cannabis and cannabinoids as medicine as well as clinical evidence of potential positive outcomes utilizing cannabis as either a stand-alone or adjunct treatment for patients with varying debilitating conditions including PTSD, cancer, epilepsy, chronic pain and autoimmune diseases.
The program also includes a legal – legislative panel that will address cannabis legislation in South Carolina, and nationally. Legalization will involve collaboration between professionals, including doctors, PhD’s, leading researchers, legislators, lawyers and their governing associations.

The program is open to anyone who wishes to register.
Members of the South Carolina Bar are invited to attend. A request for SC CLE credit is pending.
Students from Charleston School of Law and University of South Carolina School of Law are invited to attend for a student registration fee of $100. There are a limited number of seminar registration fee waivers available. Mason Law Firm is a contributor to the welcome reception for registered participants, which will be held on September 27, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wickliffe House. At the welcome reception, there will be a slide presentation depicting the major aspects of a regulated medical cannabis program. Refreshments will be provided. Registrants can meet and converse with seminar presenters in advance of the main event.
