Mark. A MasonMark was born in Washington, D.C. on March 19, 1960. He is a graduate of Guilford College (B.A., 1982) and Campbell University, School of Law. (J.D., magna cum laude, 1985).

He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1985. He was admitted to the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 1985 and United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit in 1987. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States in 1992. Mark is a former law clerk to The Honorable Peter J. Messitte, now United States District Court Judge, Greenbelt, Maryland.

Mark is a former prosecutor for the Town of Mount Pleasant, the Town of Sullivan’s Island, the City of Goose Creek and the City of Charleston.
